How it works
Cura connects EU diaspora patients with native-language therapists and explains the reimbursement process — clearly, step by step.
For patients
Find a therapist on Cura
Browse our directory of licensed therapists filtered by your language and the country you're insured in. All therapists listed are experienced with cross-border EU patients.
Read your reimbursement guide
We have step-by-step guides for each country pair — exactly what forms you need, what to document, what your insurer needs to see, and realistic timelines.
Contact the therapist directly
All contact happens off-platform. No booking system, no intermediary. You reach out, agree on sessions, and start therapy.
Submit your claim
Using our guide, you submit your reimbursement claim to your insurance. For most cross-border claims under EU Directive 2011/24/EU, no prior authorisation is needed.
What will it actually cost?
Cross-border (e.g. Polish therapist)
German private (Kostenerstattung)
Estimates based on typical 2025 market rates. Actual reimbursement depends on your insurance plan and home country rates. Always confirm with your insurer.
For therapists
Apply for a listing
Submit your credentials, languages, therapy methods, and session cost range. We verify your license and approve manually — typically within 48 hours.
Go live on the directory
Your profile appears in our searchable directory. Patients in your language group can find and contact you directly.
Support cross-border patients
We provide guidance on how to document sessions for insurance claims, what invoices need to include, and how to structure your practice for EU patients.
